"Venets: The Belogradchik journal for local history, cultural heritage and folk studies" is a Bulgarian journal on anthropology published since 2010. It is published annually by SCS Consulting Ltd.
This Bulgarian academic journal specifically addresses anthropological issues related to local history, cultural studies and folkore with an emphasis on the Belogradchik region. Belogradchik one of the most fascinating towns in Bulgaria and it arouses the interests of many researchers for its history and culture.
In each number of this Bulgarian academic journal three main sections can be identified: a literary Section, written in Bulgarian; the Historical Archives section, written mainly in Bulgarian; the Scientific peer-reviewed Section. The last section is usually in English and contains research papers in the fields of Local/Family History, Community History, Folk Studies, Oral History, Heritage Studies, Rural Studies, Memory Studies, etc.

Additional information

Contributions from Bulgarian and international scholars are welcome in the research areas of Local/Family History, Community History, Folk Studies, Oral History, Heritage Studies, Rural Studies, Memory Studies, etc.
Articles should be written in a readable and scholarly manner either in English or Bulgarian. They should not exceed 20 standard pages in length including illustrations, tables, figures and references and be accompanied by a summary of about 20 lines.
