You Share-Youth Sharing Memories of Stalinism and its victims

Venue: Faenza (Italy)
Period: September 27-29, 2010

Program

The International You Share Forum is the final event of the You Share project, started on November 2009 and co-financed by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Commission. The aim of the Forum is to share academic research and young people perceptions and comments on the issue of Stalinism and its victims, in order to circulate information, knowledge and memory among European citizens in a bottom-up approach.

The Forum is structured in three days and different thematic roundtables. Each roundtable encompasses a presentation of the researches carried out from the PhD candidates who were selected from an International Call for Papers. Then it will be accompanied by the comments of the senior Discussants who have followed the PhD candidates in their research work. A very crucial moment will be the analyses and testimonies of several international guest speakers which will bring up to open discussions with the audience, in the spirit of commemoration of the victims of Stalinism. Finally, short films and documentaries will enrich each roundtable.
