SGIR 7th Pan-European International Relations Conference - The “European sub-prime”: The financial crisis in Eastern Europe

Location: Stockholm (Sweden)
Period: September 9-11, 2010

Program

The main purpose of the conference is to analyze the impact of the global economic crisis, and in particular the vulnerability of Eastern European countries to external shocks.
The IMF and also the European Commission are currently very active in supporting attempts to defend the Baltic currencies. Therefore the conference aims to analyze the policies, either political or economical, implemented by the countries of eastern Euorpe to react to the crisis, as well as the role of international actors in crisis management in the whole region.
