The Women's Committee (WOMC)

The Women's Committee was established in 1991. Its aim is to promote the constitutional and social rights of women in Uzbekistan, in particular with the promotion of activities to raise awareness of the mechanisms for protection of women’s rights. WOMC often works in collaboration with members of the UN system, such as UNICEF on family education and UNFPA on maternal well-being.
