Name in Greek: Ελληνικό Συμβούλιο για τους Πρόσφυγες (ΕΣΠ)

The Greek Council for Refugees (GCR) is a Greek non-governmental organization founded in 1989 to assist refugees and asylum seekers in Greece and help them to harmoniously integrate in the country.

Registered in the records of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and those of the Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity, it is recognized as an especially charitable organization.

GCR is member of the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR), partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and member of the European Council for Refugees and Exiles (ECRE). It has also a Special Advisory Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
