2008 Central & Eastern European Law Program

The program outline

The Center for International and Comparative Law at Indiana University School of Law offers summer courses in Dubrovnik to deepen and better understand the legal systems of Central and Eastern Europe. Besides didactic activities, Dubrovnik and its surroundings offer many choices for cultural, culinary, and sports activities.

Application Deadline

Applications should be filed before March 1, 2008. Late applications may be accepted at the discretion of the Director of the program. Unless other arrangements are approved in writing by the Director of the program, a non-refundable registration fee has to be paid within seven days of acceptance of an application.
The number of places is limited and properly completed applications will be considered in the order in which they are received. Thus, early application is strongly encouraged.

Costs and financial assistance

The fee for the program is $6350 per student and includes:

  • Tuition
  • Program registration fee
  • Accommodation
  • Half-board (breakfast and light lunches)
  • Several excursions and one-day field trips
  • Ground transportation for scheduled field trips
  • Course materials
 

Participants may apply for student loans to cover part of the program fee, transportation, and cost of living expenses. Arrangements for such loans should be made through the financial aid office at the participant's school. The participant's school may have other financial assistance available.
