Enduring Allies: U.S.-Polish Strategic Ties in a Post-Crimea World

Venue: Business Center Zielna, Zielna 37 street, 00-108 Warsaw, Poland, room: Warszawa
Period: March 17 (Thursday) 2016

Program

The Ukraine War has shown that the methods of modern warfare could be changing in the 21st century. As new dangers emerge, frontline allies like Poland are looking for ways to build stronger, direct security linkages with the United States. But what are the best methods for achieving this? Please join us for a unique discussion featuring two leading strategic thinkers: Eliot A. Cohen, Robert E. Osgood Professor of Strategic Studies at John Hopkins SAIS and former Counselor of the U.S. Department of State; and Jakub Grygiel, Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) and George H. W. Bush Senior Associate Professor at John Hopkins SAIS. They will consider how strategic conditions in Europe are changing and the avenues for fortifying U.S.-Polish defense ties amid new threats to NATO’s security.

Welcoming remarks:
Marcin Zaborowski
, Executive Vice President, Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA)
