XI Visegrad Summer School

Brief description: The Villa Decius Association organizes the XI Visegrad Summer School, devoted to current social, economic, political and cultural issues concerning the Visegrad countries, presented in wider regional, European and global perspective.


The Visegrad Summer School is an initiative organised by the Villa Decius Association since 2002. The programme is an opportunity for the participants to get acquainted with and discuss current social, security, economic, political and cultural issues. It is also an opportunity to learn about each other and start an international cooperation between the people and the countries.
The programme of the 11th edition of the Visegrad Summer School includes lectures, debates and workshops on current political, cultural and social challenges in the regional, global and European perspective. The participants, in smaller groups, work on development projects that are presented at the closing session. Students are invited for study visit to Malopolska region and attend artistic events in Krakow. Multicultural session allows participants to search for common identity as well as insight the cultures of the Visegrad countries.

How to apply to the Summer School

 

Eligibility

The target group of the Summer School include students, graduates, PhD researchers, young professionals from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and other eligible countries (among which Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia)
The working language of the School is English, so good communication skills in English are essential.

Application Procedure

Each candidate should register at www.visegradsummerschool.org and provide an on-line application form.
The deadline for submitting on-line applications is March 31, 2012. No hard copies required.
Accepted participants will be informed by 30 April 2012.
