Description of the Conference

Corvinus University, along with the Jean Monnet European Center of Excellence, is hosting a conference on Human Security and Global Transformation. This conference will bring together 20 young scholars and researchers to discuss topics such as the global crisis, transforming civil society and the crisis of democracy. The conference will be held over one day in Budapest.
 
The preceedings from the conference will be published in one of Corvinus University's journals.

Eligible topics for the conference

The following themes and topics will be accepted for the conference:

  • Uncertainty Management: Alternative Scenarios to the Global Crises,
  • The Crisis of Democracy: Representation and Politics,
  • Reinventing Sustainability and Competitiveness: New Roles for States, Markets and Societies,
  • The Transformation of Civil Society: Regional and Global Activism,
  • Redefining Security: International, European, National and Human.

 

Guidelines for submission

The organizers seeking submissions from doctoral and post doctoral students, and from young researchers. The abstracts should be approximately 500 words long in the above mentioned topics. These abstracts should be sent to andras.tetenyi@uni-corvinus.hu until the 20th of March.
 
For those who are successful with their application, the organizers will be able to provide cost-free accommodation in Budapest for the duration of the conference.
