Description: The Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (CIPDD) is a public policy think-tank, specialized in a broad area of democracy development. CIPDD was founded in 1992 in Tbilisi, Georgia. It is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation. It advocates policy goals such as the development of a vibrant and diverse civil society, effective and accountable public institutions based on the rule of law and an integrated political community, which at the same time respects and preserves identities of different ethnic and religious communities in Georgia.

Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies

Description: Established in 1998, the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS) is an independent, non-profit policy think tank dedicated to helping improve public policy decision-making in Georgia through research and analysis, training of policymakers and policy analysts, and public education about the strategic issues, both domestic and international, facing Georgia and the Caucasus in the 21st century. GFSIS activities are aimed at promoting democracy and fostering political and economic reforms; enhancing regional cooperation; creating a friendly and secure investment environment; and providing local private sector and the international business community opportunities to participate in the economy of the Caucasus region.

Georgian Research and Educational Networking Association

Description: Georgian Research and Educational Networking Association - GRENA is union registered in Tbilisi, Georgia under the Georgian law on July 26, 1999. GRENA has acquired experience in advanced networking technologies such as fiber-optic, wireless etc. GRENA is running Cisco Regional Networking Academy, Distance Learning Center, GRID distributed computing facility incorporated in the European GRID Infrastructure and Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT). Development of projects is being carried out in cooperation with universities with the support of European Commission, NATO Science Programme, Open Society - Georgia Foundation and International Science & Technology Center.
