The successful candidate will be supervised by Professor Michael Sheehan and Dr. Eugene Miakinkov, and will spend a year in Russia consulting archives and other research centres. An opportunity to work and carry out research at the Bush School of Government and Public Service in Texas will also be available. Finally, the student will be required to participate in training events organised by the ESRC Wales Doctoral Training Centre, especially events associated with the Language-Based Area Studies pathway.

Eligibility
